I have a mild obsession with breakfast smoothies. You get so much more nutrients when you blend everything into one glass, that you otherwise probably wouldn’t eat together. Plus, you can drink it in your car on your way to work. Win/win. If you like this one, also check out my Spinach and Kale Green Smoothie recipe.
This PB&J Smoothie is one of my favorites because it combines what I love most, peanut butter and berries! The protein from the ground flax seeds, almond milk, and peanut butter help keep you full right up until lunch time.
Prep Time: 10 mins
Blend Time: 2 mins

1 Cup Organic Blueberries, rinsed (or raspberries or strawberries)
1 Banana, sliced
2 TB Peanut Butter, All-Natural
1 Cup Ice
Big handful of Spinach, about 2 cups
2 TB Ground Flax Seeds
1 cup Almond Milk, unsweetened (or vanilla)
~ Fill blender with all ingredients in the order listed. It’s important to put the spinach at the top as it tends to blend better that way.
